After reading my book or listening to me, many people express that it must be neat to be able to hear the voices of the trees. And it is! I tell them I've always had the ability to hear them (and so do you) but it was only when I stopped talking and started to listen that I was actually able to hear.
I believe that every being will listen to us - and if we aren't hearing anything back, it's because we haven't stopped talking - literally or within our minds. Our hearts and souls need to be open bur our voices (inner and outer) quieted.
I often bring an offering as a show of respect and leave another gift of gratitude for the shared experience.
